About IIRRA

Promoting and developing the study of industrial relations in Israel is the central agenda of the Israeli Industrial Relations Research Association. The Association is an independent body working towards an insertion and spur of public discourse on industrial relations and their crucial importance in the market today. It offers pioneering directions of thought and ideas on this topic that over the last few years suffers from stagnation and conservatism. Top academic scholars, leaders of the central Israeli trade unions and employers’ associations, key governmental representatives and others, compose the governing body of the Association, disseminating its agenda. In order to improve the current social and economic situation in Israel, the Association encourages and promotes innovative ideas and research on welfare and employment policies and industrial relations. This is done through the initiation and the development of think tanks, organization of conferences and round-table discussions, and the publication of position papers on pressing issues. Established during the end of the 1980s, the Association has developed strong ties with other central bodies around the world, working for the same goals, including the International Industrial Relations Research Association and the ILO.
